Below is the wording of the questions used by each of the polling organizations that the Commission on Presidential Debates is utilizing as best as I could determine from internet searching. (Two of them -- Fox News and CBS/New York Times -- apparently currently exclude Jill Stein altogether.)
Note that none of them ask the questions "who is who do you want to be president" or "who would you prefer to be president" -- which the CPD claims it's interested in -- see my legal brief.
ABC/Washington Post: "If the presidential election were being held today and the candidates were Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine, the Democrats, Donald Trump and Mike Pence, the Republicans, Gary Johnson and Bill Weld of the Libertarian Party, and Jill Stein and Ajamu Baraka of the Green Party, for whom would you vote?" If unsure: "Would you lean toward Clinton and Kaine, Trump and Pence, Johnson and Weld, or Stein and Baraka?"
CBS/New York Times: "If the 2016 presidential election were being held today and the candidates were Hillary Clinton, the Democrat, and Donald Trump, the Republican, and Gary Johnson, the Libertarian, would you vote for Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump or Gary Johnson?"
CNN/Opinion Research Corporation: "Now suppose that the presidential candidates on the ballot in your state included Hillary Clinton as the Democratic Party’s candidate, Donald Trump as the Republican Party’s candidate, Gary Johnson as the Libertarian Party candidate, and Jill Stein as the Green Party candidate, who would you be more likely to vote for?"
Fox News: "How would you vote if the candidates were Democrats Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine, Republicans Donald Trump and Mike Pence, and Libertarians Gary Johnson and Bill Weld?" If unsure: "Well, which way do you lean?"
NBC/Wall Street Journal: "And, if the next election for president were held today, with Donald Trump as the Republican candidate, Hillary Clinton as the Democratic candidate, Gary Johnson the Libertarian candidate, and Jill Stein the Green Party candidate for whom would you vote?"
